A couple of weeks ago Dove send me a complimentary sample of the Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Anti-perspirant/deodorant and I wanted to really use it before I wrote this review.

What Dove promises:

With regular use, the Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth deodorant minimizes the visual appearance of hair over time. It conditions your underarm skin and hair, softens the underarm stubble and over time it helps underarm hair look & feel less noticeable.

The Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Anti-perspirant/deodorant comes in 2 fragrances: Nature Fresh and Wild Rose.

I was send the Wild Rose and I love the scent, it's not over-powering at all, very subtle.

I've used this deodorant for 2 weeks now and I love the fact of no more stubbles after shaving.

Yes, you heard me right, I have no more stubbles, my underarm skin is soft and smooth and even when I do get tiny hairs and it's time to shave again, the little hairs are way softer than before and much easier to shave!

The Wild Rose Deodorant also comes in Clinical strength, offering prescription strength wetness protection.

One of my best memories playing with my brother (when we weren't fighting that is) is when we were playing in tents made from sheets, towels hung over chairs, and attached to tree branches! We build Castles, Forts and pretended to be Prince and Princess, or King and Queen. Hours of fun, where has the time gone!

I'm so happy to see my kids have the same imagination and we have old lounge chair pillows and sheets for the same purpose. Hours and hours of fun!

I was so happy to be able to review the Fortamajig (well, my kids did that is) by The Happy Kid Company.

We received the lime green single-layer Fortamajig.

It comes with a door, window and pockets to store some toys or shoes in. It has 24 outer adjustable loops that can be attached to about anything, back of chairs, tree branches,...It also has 9 adjustable inner loops, so you can hang it up on a tree branch to make a tent for example. It comes with a handy bag for storage, is water resistant and machine washable and so easy to fold up and store away.

My kids have already had so much fun with it! It's great

to play hide and seek.

It's also ideal to read books under and have little naps. Notice Abby dozing off and Simba (our cat) relaxing in the shade? With the beautiful weather we've had in the last couple of days, the Fortamajig has been used every single day!

The single-layer Fortamajig comes in purple, blue and lime and the double-layer comes in midnight blue/orange, fuchsia/lime and red/yellow.

The Happy Kid Company also has Connectables, these colorful panels lock together with soft fabric tabs (each pack comes with 6 colorful panels). Kids can create small spaces or large mazes by connecting these panels.

The Connectables can also be used with the Fortamajig to build bigger Forts, tunnels and mazes.

Both the Fortamajig and Connectables can be used indoor and outdoor.

relaxing weekend

I had all these plans of writing loads and loads of reviews and giveaways but we went to a swim meet in Hood River yesterday, had a lot of fun (beautiful drive going there and back) and then relaxed outside afterwards as it was in the 80'sF. Today it's going to get even warmer, in the 90's so it's about 9 now, we had our breakfast and we'll be walking to the playground to have some fun before it gets too hot.

Last day with the kids and me alone, finally Ian comes home from the Netherlands tomorrow!! Yipppeeeeeee! We all missed him, so it's going to be great to see him tomorrow!

Wordless Wednesday (well, half wordless that is)

Bless her, ...little Abby.

We went to see the doctor yesterday as Abby's been very pale in the last couple of days and something was up, I just couldn't pinpoint what it was. She has an eye-infection in her right eye, but this morning we have the infection in both eyes. She's been coughing too but nothing's on her lungs so that's not too bad.

She's had a very bad night, not a lot of sleep for either of us. She ended up in my bed last night and kept tickling/stroking my back, which sounds cute (and it was) but it kept me up most of the night.

We've had a couple of warm days lately and this just makes me long for the Summer even more! I'm done with the cold and the rain and want to wear my sandals or flip flops every day and sitting out on the deck with a Margarita in my hand wouldn't be bad either ;)

Well, Summer's on the way and what better time to review some sandals. We had the opportunity to review the Isabella from See Kai Run. The Isabella sandal is a soft pink with white hearts added on the front. They are made from butter-soft sheepskin leather with a flexible rubber sole, healthy for developing feet but sturdy enough for outdoor play. The sandal has a velcro closure which makes it way easier to put on and take off.

They really are adorable and go with any outfit.

As you already know we love See Kai Run and these sandals are a great hit!
