With the Summer approaching, my kids need some new clothes, shorts, skirts, t-shirts and so on. Actually Abby needs a new swim suit as hers keeps growing and growing, the elastic is worn out and at a certain point will not hold any longer.

Sensa update week 38
I lost 1.5 pounds this week! The progress is getting slower and I know I need to start exercising but I don't want to yet. I'm hoping for better weather so I can go on walks and be more active.
The more I think about it, it's pretty incredible I lost 54.5 pounds since the 1st of September. First of all, the time has flown by and second, I couldn't have done this without Sensa in my pocket!!!
If you're not sure and want to give Sensa a try, please don't hesitate, there's a free trial and this weekend, Sensa will be on ShopNBC. In Oregon I think they are on channel 20. They will be on on Saturday night and all day Sunday. I'll be calling in on Sunday around 12 lunchtime. ShopNBC has the best value to get Sensa!

According to the American Cancer Society, about half of the cancer deaths could be prevented if people maintained a healthy weight through diet and regular exercise, avoided tobacco products and got recommended cancer screening tests.
As busy moms know, it's not always easy to incorporate these healthy behaviors into a busy lifestyle.
As a mom of 3 I made the decision last September to do something about my weight as I was obese and was having a hard time to keep up with my kids. Now 52 pounds later, I know I'm doing my best to be healthier in any way I can!
In March 2010, the American Cancer Society conducted a national online survey of approx. 2000 women ages 25-64 to examine women's health behaviors and needs. This survey revealed that women want better health but fall short of achieving it. 95% of women feel the need to improve their health but 3 out of 5 women put other's health before their own. Sound familiar moms?
Some survey results:
- 90% fall short of eating a healthy diet
- 85% don't get the minimum daily exercise of 30 mins a day, 5 days a week (recommended by the US government)
- 76% don't always protect their skin from the sun
The Choose You Commitment:
As part of the Choose You movement, women are encouraged to sign a Choose You Commitment, an online pledge to reach a specific, individual health goal.
At ChooseYou.com, women can choose from 5 different health categories: Eat Right, Get Active, Get Recommended Health Screenings, Protect Your Skin and Quit Smoking. Participants give a minimum 5 dollar pledge once they sign a Choose You Commitment to incentivize them to stay on track. They can also ask friends and family to support them. Women who have a "stake in the game" as well as social support from friends and family are more likely to be successful at accomplishing their goals.
