Febreze No Spill Wood Diffuser

I had the opportunity to test out the Febreze No Spill Wood Diffuser in the pomegranate mango scent.
What a great idea!!! With 3 kids in my house, stuff gets knocked over and the last thing you want knocked over is an air-freshener as it goes all over! I'm speaking from experience here!
The Febreze No Spill Wood Diffuser puts an end to all of this!
I love the scent of this diffuser, not too strong and very fresh. I have it close to my computer so I can smell it when I'm reading emails, writing reviews/giveaways!

With this diffuser, scented oils are drawn up through the wood dowel into the wood top to fragrance your home without spills.

It's really easy to set up: remove wood top and plastic stopper, insert dowel in wooden top and insert the wooden top with dowel into the bottle and screw until tight.

Febreze has partnered with celebrity and busy "mom-preneur" Brooke Burke to introduce the latest in family-friendly scented home decor items. A perfect home accent, the Febreze No Spill Wood Diffuser offers a new take on the typical reed diffuser and boasts a spill-free design so busy moms with active families and even pets can now enjoy the beauty and scent of the Febreze without the worry of spills.
Brooke Burke has participated in a series of videos to share her family-friendly decor tips and tricks.

--------------------------------------------------------

We used to eat a lot of Uncle Ben's rice when we lived in Holland, until we bought a rice cooker that is. Then we started using Thai rice all the time.
After moving to the US, we bought another rice cooker and we're still eating Thai rice.
I was happy to test Uncle Ben's rice again, as it has been so long we tried it.
Thanks to Mom Central, we were able to test out the Uncle Ben's Whole Grain white rice.

Last weekend we made the rice with chicken. It had been so long I actually boiled rice in a pot, but it's super easy and it only takes 10 minutes to boil. Way faster than rice cooker rice.
The Uncle Ben's whole grain white rice has twice the fiber of brown rice! We tried brown rice in the past before and my kids did NOT like it at all. This was one of their questions before we tried this rice: "it's not going to be as bad as the brown rice from the past, is it?"

The rice is very tasty with twice the fiber as brown rice, so we will surely make this again, but next time I need to try it in the rice cooker my son says. He wants it more sticky! So I'll let you know how that goes in the future.

Uncle Ben's has way more flavor selections than just the white rice, there's chicken, broccoli cheddar, taco style and sweet tomato.
Check out Uncle Ben's website for recipes, nutrition facts and super savings!

Two lucky winners will each win 2 boxes of the Uncle Ben's whole grain white rice and an Uncle Ben's apron!
For a chance to win and try this rice, head on over to the Uncle Ben's website and check out the recipes and let me know which one you would give a try.

Yoohoo & Friends review & giveaway

I'm sure by now you've seen some reviews on Yoohoo & Friends in the bloggerworld. These cuddly toys bring back memories from when I was a kid and all I wanted was a Mon Chi Chi (remember those?)
Aurora created Yoohoo & Friends to teach children about animals (many endangered) and the environment they came from. They have more than 50 styles in the line and they have a variety of sizes and themes (i.e. Valentine's, Spring/Easter, Holidays,...)
They have huge eyes and some of them make sounds when you squeeze their belly. They really are super cute!
Aurora World Inc. now also launched a brand new website for their little friends. This free, interactive virtual world requires no activation code and is targeted for kids ages 5 to 12.
On this site it shows the little animals in their natural habitats, there's lots of games, desktop wallpapers and coloring sheets,...
I have 3 kids, ages 12, 8 and 3 next week and they all have been playing these little friends a lot.
They are great for imaginary games!

My little one turns 3 next week, and on her birthday list: cake, animals and a stroller to put all the animals in. Yes, in our house the yoohoo & friends get pushed around in a stroller, so they don't have to walk!

Aurora is very generously giving away a Yoohoo & Friends to one of my readers. It will be a 5" Yoohoo & Friends plush toy that makes sound but it's a random pick.
For a chance to win this for your kids, visit Aurora and let me know your favorite (or your kids favorite little friend)

Wordless Wednesday

I can't believe it but on the 16th of June, our Lisa will graduate 6th grade.
Time sure flies by!

Sensa update

Instead of copying and pasting my whole journey, I'm going to start from scratch.
So total lost since September till 5 /19 was with Sensa: 40, total weightloss: 52

My weight this morning:
5/26: -2

So Sensa: 42
Total: 54

This week's been a hectic week and it's not looking like it's going to calm down soon. The workers will start today in pulling down the fence and pulling out the wooden deck! We'll be without a deck till next Tuesday, but the weather is not looking good anyways, so we're not missing out.
I'll make sure to take before and after pictures!

Now for the weight, last week I gained 2 pounds which I lost again this week. I'm at a plateau I think and really need to start exercising to get this weight moving again. I just don't really have the energy, but I will try. I also need to stick a sticky note on my forehead to remind me to drink my water every day :)

If you want to give Sensa a try and you're still not sure or you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me either on my blog, on Twitter (@gunzie73) or on Facebook (Ann Guns).

Off to Swimming I go with Abby.
See you later.

Western Union winners

I'm way behind on posts (what's new there) but with 767 entries for the Western Union giveaway, I won't pull the winners till Saturday. I want to make sure all rules were followed and when pulling out the winners, I'm actually counting the numbers so it's going to take me a while.
So the contest is closed but winners will have to wait till Saturday.

vegetables and herbs

The weather hasn't been good this past week, lots of rain, but we did have a break yesterday where we could actually work in the garden. The kids absolutely loved it. We got rid of the sandbox, put soil in there and the kids got to plant tomatoes, peppers, squash, eggplant,...
We added some more veggies and herbs at the front of the house.

But what the kids have been most excited about are the peas we planted! They will grow onto the fence and of course they will take a while, but they've been talking non-stop about their peas.
A friend of mine showed us how to make lettuce baskets and I was so excited after I got home, I bought some more baskets and planted basil, peppers, mint, squash, eggplant in them. I can't wait to see the result, when the baskets are in full bloom.

The first picture, the peppers look kind of limp but I hadn't watered them yet. They looked way happier after they got some water.

Today was the day for Abby's first haircut. I had to re-assure her all week that we weren't going to cut off all her hair!
She picked the yellow Hummer to sit in, and loved the whole experience!
We only cut off an inch or so, and she got glitters in her hair. Abby calls it her princess hair.

A person can dream, right?

I can't wait for the Summer to come along. My husband and myself have been talking for about 2 or 3 years now to get the deck replaced and to go for stamped concrete and finally we've made the decision to actually do it. I can't wait to show you the before and after.

With this project almost checked off, I started thinking of other things I would love to have done in the house: bathroom, skylight, outside lights, ... the list goes on and on.
One of the things that's also on my list for in a couple of years (but not yet on my husband's) is the sofas downstairs. We have 2 sofas downstairs, both opposite each other on a wall. I think it would work better if we had a sectional sofas in there. We used to have a sectional sofa in Holland 6 years ago and it sits lots of people and just fits great in a room.
Hey, a person can have dreams, right?

I had a look on CSNSofas.com and found a couple of options but the one below is my favorite.
Have a look around and tell me if you see something you like. Have you got any dream-lists you want to finish off?

You don't like to clean toilets either? CONTEST CLOSED

And the winner is:
Random Integer Generator

Here are your random numbers:

Timestamp: 2010-06-07 15:33:30 UTC

And this is Terra H., I've sent you an email to confirm.

===========================================

I don't like to clean toilets but it's something that needs to be done. I'm always looking for easier ways to do this and have found a way today!
Scrubbing Bubbles has a fresh brush 2-in-1 starter kit and toilet cleaning gel I had the pleasure to try out thanks to SC Johnson. Yes, you read that right. A pleasure!
I think this is the first time cleaning toilets didn't feel like a chore.

The fresh brush 2-in-1 starter kit includes:
* a durable 19" handle
* disposable single-use max pads with Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner
* flushable pads with Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner
* a storage hook
The max pad (for tough stains) just clicks onto the handle, you clean the toilet and with a press of a button you can throw the pad away in the garbage. No need to touch anything with your hands! The flushables also just click onto the handle and they can be used for quicker cleanings.
You can hang the storage hook on your toilet so the handle is always handy in the bathroom.

The Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning gel keeps the toilet bowl clean and fresh between your deep cleanings and is more hygienic than other bowl cleaners cause you don't need to touch them at all when you replace them. Each time you flush the toilet, a small amount of gel dissolves and circulates around the toilet bowl quickly coating the surface to prevent buildup of limescale and toilet rings. I love the fresh scent it leaves behind.

Right now, you can visit www.RightatHome.com for a fresh deal from Scrubbing Bubbles.
For a limited time, buy one Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel and get a scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush 2 in 1 starter hit or refill free!
What are you waiting for? Give it a try, you'll like it too!

Scrubbing Bubbles has very generously offered to give away the same package I received to 1 lucky winner.
For a chance to win, please let me know what you've already tried to get the toilet ring marks out of your toilet. Easy right?

In need of new glasses?

I wear eyeglasses and it can get really expensive to get them replaced at my vision clinic.
I heard of GlassesUSA before through other blogs and when I was contacted by them to write a post about it, of course I went on the site to check them out!
I have prescription glasses so I thought it would be difficult to order eyeglasses online but it's as easy as 1,2,3. Just make sure you have your prescription handy when you're ready to order.
I'm loving these Calvin Klein eyeglasses:

If you're in need of some new glasses or you want a back-up pair and don't want to pay a fortune, have a look through their huge selection.

GlassesUSA has a pair for everybody, so check out their glasses online and let me know which one's your favorite!

GlassesUSA has offered a promo code to my readers for 10% off your next purchase. Please use the code mommy10 at check-out.

Absolutely amazing!!!

Give Sensa a try, it really works!

Remember I told you I was going to LA for my Sensa photo-shoot and taping? Here are some of the pictures I received. The weekend was a blast and I got to meet some great people that are on the same journey as I am.
I can not believe I lost 53 pounds since the 1st of September of which 41 with Sensa (I started Sensa on the 16th of September)
If you would have asked me in September if I would reach my first goal, I would have said no without hesitation as none of the diets I tried before actually worked. With Sensa, I've never looked back and am convinced I will lose my final pounds!

My before picture:
Here are my after pictures (taken on 4/23/10)
