Yesterday, during lunch recess, a football hit a 5th grader in the chest during a flag football game. Everything was done to try and revive him but the boy later died in the hospital.
My daughter used to play kickball with this boy during recess.
I am still in a state of shock and can not believe it. My heart goes out to his mom and his family.
This tragic accident makes you think about all kinds of things but mainly it just reminds me how precious the time is that we have. I'm just so blessed to have my kids and I don't think I've ever hugged them as much as I did yesterday! This just puts everything in perspective.
