I'm sure you've heard of Piggy Paint before, but in case you haven't here we go.
About Piggy Paint:
One day when Melanie Hurley (founder of Piggy Paint) was painting her daughter's nails over a foam plate, her daughter dropped a glob of her solvent-based polish onto the plate and shortly after the paint began to bubble and "ate" a whole through the plate.
She decided to test all of her other "kids" polishes on the foam and ALL of the solvent-based polishes began to bubble and eventually left big holes in the plate. (see image on the right)
From that day onwards Melanie decided that any flammable substance that could eat through foam was unacceptable for her children's fingernails, which would inevitably end up in their mouts. This is how Piggy Paint was born.
Piggy Paint is not flammable and is specially formulated of natural ingredients. It is free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone...and made in the USA!
Isn't it shocking the image of the plate? I have to admit I haven't even thought about all the nail polish we have in the house but I'm going to test ours on a foam plate too. It really makes you think, doesn't it?
In April 2010, Piggy Paint introduced their new "Project Earth" line of nail polishes that are suited for young ladies who are concerned about Planet Earth. There are 5 wild, neon colors, and even a glow-in-the-dark polish! With names like "The Boyfriend Blues" and "eat Your Peace", tweens are loving this eco-friendly alternative. Piggy Paint uses 100% reused peanuts from their local community to ship their products. Reduce, reuse and recycle!
We received the Radioactive (glow-in-the-dark) and the LOL nail polish and Lisa's first reaction to the LOL was. "Mom, this is a very popular color nail polish in school, awesome!"
Lisa & Abby tested the LOL color and I have to say that color is amazing. We only did 1 coating and I think we should have done 2 as parts came off after a shower.
I tested the Radioactive nail polish, this is a very fun nail polish! It really glows in the dark and will be a MUST at Halloween.
Both nail polishes are fun for girls AND mamas! The nail polishes are sold for $8.99 and Piggy Paint also has amazing gift sets that come with 3 nail polishes or 2 nail polishes/1 remover in a cute organza bag. They also have a special 2 pink polish "Fight Breast Cancer" pack that benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure, how cool is that?
Piggy Paint makes an EXCELLENT gift for your girls!
