Holiday Shopping made easier

I'm already done with my holiday shopping except for some small things for in the stockings but if you still have to do some shopping, here are some helpful websites the Toy Industry Association (TIA) has launched that you can use:

ToyInfo.org provides you with the tips you need to choose the right toys for your family. From toy safety facts to free downloadable play guides and from recall information to discussion boards, this engaging and informative new site is a one-stop resource for caregivers and parents to discover everything about toys and play.

ToyAwards.org showcases the top toys nominated for the 2010 Toy of the Year Awards (TOTY), recognized as the "Oscars" of the toy industry. Not only will you discover which toys the industry's experts think are best, but for the first time, kids and parents can indicate their favorite toy picks ... and register to win their choice of one or more of 11 prize packages.

I checked out the ToyInfo.org site and in the Trends section I love the videos there with Reyne Rice (the Toy Trends Expert). I'm going to look into the Silly socks game (a puzzle game), it looks like a lot of fun!
I highly recommend to check out the safety 24/7 section where you can check out Toy Tips and sign up for recall alerts. I'm already signed up for it.
If you go into the Toy Recalls section you can see which toys (with pictures) have been recalled.
I don't own any of the toys but have been looking at 2 of them for Christmas and didn't end up buying them.
The ToyAwards.org is a brand new web site for consumers that lists the best toys of this year as selected by toy industry experts.
You can download a toy shopping list to take with you to the store when you do your holiday shopping.
This site showcases 81 top toys that have been nominated for the 2010 Toy of the Tear Awards.
Here's some of the categories:
  • Girl Toy of the year
  • Boy toy of the Year
  • Outdoor toy of the year
  • Educational toy of the year
It gets even better, if you tell them which products you think are the best in each category and register/enter, you might win one (or more) of the 11 prize packages! How cool is that?

Thank you Team Mom for telling us about these great sites!
"Disclaimer: Team Mom informed me about these 2 new websites to check them out and share them with my readers. As a thank you I'm entered into a drawing for a chance to win a toy prize pack. I was not compensated for this post"
