It added 10 years to my life + giveaway

Every parents worst nightmare is to have their kids go missing. Well, at least it's one of mine.

As promised in a previous post, here's my nightmare.

Great Wolf Lodge was a super fun getaway we did last week for a couple of days but it didn't start off so good.

After having checked in in the rooms, we decided to camp out in our friends room for a bit. The moms and 3 of the kids went downstairs to get the magic wands. The dads, Jamie and Abby stayed in the room while we got the wands.

When we got back in the room, Abby was nowhere to be found. Initially I though the dads were joking or that Abby was hiding in the bathroom or on the top bunk but we soon found out Abby had sneaked out of the hotel room! I know now it only takes a minute!

Five floors, I don't even know how many rooms, lots of elevators.... my heart just dropped. I ran out the room, went straight for the elevators as Abby loves to press the buttons so I assumed she was there. My mind was just racing, couldn't really think straight.

Luckily my friend was still thinking straight and had rang the lobby and soon found out Abby had been found.

I on the other hand was in the elevator, which of course stopped on every floor, so by the time I got to the lobby I was in a state (at this point I didn't know Abby was ok).

My friend called me over and told me it was alright, they found Abby, and that's when I lost it, I cried.

Those couple of minutes it took to get down in that elevator were the longest ever and I can't even begin to tell you what kind of thoughts I had.

The only thing I can remember after that is Abby coming down the stairs with 2 hotel people, happy as can be with a ball she got from them. She didn't even know she was lost, had a great time playing soccer with them and had told them her name was Abby.

My husband and myself, I'm sure, have added some years to our life!

Ian even asked before all this if I had taken the SafetyTats for in the pool but I hadn't as I wasn't going to let her out of my sight in the water anyway. What a mistake to make!
