When you would have asked me a couple of weeks ago "what products does Sylvania make?", I would have said lightbulbs. That was before I ordered wireless headphones on some website for my husband's Christmas present and needed to add 1 more item to get free shipping. I ordered a SYLVANIA MOSAIC™ Color Changing Décor Ball, initially cause it was cheap and would make up for my shipping. Well, Christmas has long passed, the wireless headphones have been returned as they didn't work as good as promised but this Mosaic color changing ball was and still is a huge hit!!! Not only can you use it as a nightlight (a pretty cool one that is as you can pick your color or have it change color), Abby uses it as a ball, and it withstands the rolling and dropping all over the place. They make a fantastic gift!

So this Mosaic color changing ball is what made me have a closer look at Sylvania and their products.

Jamie, my son, has a loft bed and of course no light up on his bed, so I have been looking for a while for a solution. Should I hang a shelf with a light up high so he can reach when he needs it to go to the restroom during the night? We have a plug-in nightlight under his desk that gives a little light all the way up on his bed but wasn't really a good solution either.

This is when I found the PalPODzzz™ Portable Nightlight Rocket Ship. 

I contacted Sylvania to see if I could review this rocket ship nightlight and not only could I review the rocket ship nightlight, they send me some fun things for the kids (and my husband) to test!

After charging for 24 hours in a well-lit environment, we moved the rocket ship to Jamie's room. Not only does the rocket look very cool as a nightlight on its base, you can take the rocket off the base and it will automatically switch on and can be used as a flashlight. He now uses the flashlight to get down his ladder during the night to go to the restroom. He's used the flashlight to search under his desk for lego pieces! As soon as you put the rocket back on the base the flashlight turns off and charges itself. It's just fantastic, a big 10 from Jamie!!!

Are you still thinking Sylvania mostly makes lightbulbs? Let me prove you wrong!

In the box we had the following:

DOT-It® Light Bugs: these are so cool and handy. I've got one in my handbag to look for my keys or phone in the dark, they are as small as a nickel and are a very bright LED light.

DOT-it® Checkers: these checkers are fantastic! Not only are they magnetic and can be used on the refrigerator to hold messages or photos, they can also be used in the bath, swimming pool as decoration! They are waterproof to 9+ feet. With the adhesive backing they can also be used on the back of a skateboard!   We tested them in the bath and they have 2 settings, flashing or a steady light! 

Now the following 2 items made my husband really happy! 

Dot-it® H2O Yellow: this LED light can be taken anywhere. With its durable silicone housing, both waterproof and buoyant this DOT-it® is perfect for the boat, pool or camping. Well, I've attached it to my husband closet wall as he doesn't have a light in his closet. It uses far less power than traditional bulbs and it lasts 80-100 K hours, so we're good to go.

Golden Dragon™ Under the Cabinet Light - Silver:  this light provides wireless super bright LED light. You can use this versatile light under cabinets, in closets, and just about anywhere you need wireless light. I attached this one on the other wall in my husbands closet. This light is the most amazing light I've seen, you attach the magnetic strip to the wall, and then attach the light to the strip. So it can be taken off and carried anywhere, and then afterwards you can just hang it back. I love the wireless feature as you just wave in front of the sensor and the light comes on. One warning on this one, don't look straight into it, you will see stars, I tried it! Between the H2O and this one, the Golden Dragon definitely is the BIG winner! I'm thinking of getting a couple to hang under the kitchen cabinets, no need to touch the light anymore, just wave!

Last but not least in the box were 2 Lite sticks.

DOT-it® Lite Stick: these are great for emergencies, parties and any time a quick light is needed. We were going to use them for camping, or for the kids to play outside when it's getting darker, but guess what, they are also waterproof and can be used in the pool to learn to dive. I can't wait for the summer, the kids will use them as a game to go fetch in the water! These are also going to be great for Halloween when they go from door to door, easier then holding a flashlight as these lite sticks have a strap to hang around your neck.
