Thanks from coming by via the Bloggy Giveaways Carnival!

There's nothing more comfortable than to have some nice fitting, cozy slippers on your feet in the evening. Jamie's been asking for a while to review/test something and he really needed slippers so it was his turn.
Satch & Sol has the cutest slippers ever!! I'm not kidding, if Abby hadn't had any already I would have gotten her some slippers from Satch & Sol too!
I absolutely love the Tulip slippers, they are my favorite!

How cute are these little puppies?

Jamie could pick the slippers he wanted and he chose the woolly grey hitch slippers. They arrived beautifully wrapped and Jamie was so excited to open the package!

As soon as he opened the wrapping paper, he couldn't wait to try them on. This is his take on them, and I quote:
"They are really comfortable, they feel really good on my feet. They warm my feet up really fast. I have the best slippers in the house!"

I have to say they are some cool looking slippers!!

A little more about the company Satch & Sol:

For the love of family and earth, Satch & Sol partners with fair trade artisan cooperatives worldwide and strives to be eco-friendly through product selection and business practices.

We celebrate the artist for the unique quality each brings to the collection. The Artists of Mongolia apply traditional felting and knitting skills to create beauty and quality for the Satch & Sol collection. We are expanding by adding collections from around the world where artistic beauty abounds. Handmade processes ensure that no two items are ever exactly alike.

Born in 2008, Satch & Sol (pronounced like the Spanish "sol" meaning sun) is the beloved business of Susan Bell with assistance and support of her family - Sam, Solomon & Satchel.
For more about the Satch & Sol collection, current endeavors, and life as an importer, mom and entrepreneur, please see Susan's blog.

Susan has very generously offered to give away 1 pair of slippers from Satch & Sol to one very lucky reader of A latte in the morning!!!
To win this prize:
For 1 entry: check out Satch & Sol, and let me know something you learned from the handmade process, it's pretty amazing what these Mongolian artists do!!!
For a 2nd entry: become a follower of A latte in the morning

These slippers are stretched boiled and shrunk in MONGOLIA!! Americans are too lazy to go to all this trouble for a cute pair of slippers. Good thing we have Mongolians! JeansandTs@hotmail.com

I love seeing the pictures of real craftsman with heaps of wool at their feet, shaping it into something unique, instead of a bustling factory line. I'm so glad that Satch & Sol are giving these people a chance to share their fine work and to receive fair compensation for it.

Handmade woolen felted slippers are patiently made of one seamless piece of felted wool using the traditional felting process including stretching, boiling and shrinking. Suede soles are stitched on by hand. Woolen felt is hand-dyed and hand-painted, thus resulting in slight variations of color between separately dyed items. Hand-wash or machine-wash delicate/cold. Re-shape and lay flat to dry. Felted wool holds shape well over time.
These looks so nice and look like a lot of hard work went into making them, thanks so much for such a fantastic opportunity!

I was in China (south of Mongolia) in September and there are a lot of cooperatives set-up. Mainly with US handmade operations.

The working conditions we witnessed were good. granted nothing like American working conditions, but still still rather nice. I was quite surprised. Some of the artisian workshops were actually quite pretty. I even wanted to stay behind and work there. :)
