There's nothing more comfortable than to have some nice fitting, cozy slippers on your feet in the evening. Jamie's been asking for a while to review/test something and he really needed slippers so it was his turn.
Satch & Sol has the cutest slippers ever!! I'm not kidding, if Abby hadn't had any already I would have gotten her some slippers from Satch & Sol too!
I absolutely love the Tulip slippers, they are my favorite!

Jamie could pick the slippers he wanted and he chose the woolly grey hitch slippers. They arrived beautifully wrapped and Jamie was so excited to open the package!
As soon as he opened the wrapping paper, he couldn't wait to try them on. This is his take on them, and I quote:
"They are really comfortable, they feel really good on my feet. They warm my feet up really fast. I have the best slippers in the house!"
I have to say they are some cool looking slippers!!

I really like how they try to minimize waste, by re-using packaging, shipping and gift wrap materials (or using ones that are re-usable). A great fit for their fair trade products! Thanks for the chance to win!

Suede soles are stitched on by hand. Woolen felt is hand-dyed and hand-painted, thus resulting in slight variations of color between separately dyed items. Hand-wash or machine-wash delicate/cold. Re-shape and lay flat to dry. Felted wool holds shape well over time.

I read the blog post about the lead testing. I would assume these don't have lead, but what a financial responsibility to have to test for it!

I was in China (south of Mongolia) in September and there are a lot of cooperatives set-up. Mainly with US handmade operations.
The working conditions we witnessed were good. granted nothing like American working conditions, but still still rather nice. I was quite surprised. Some of the artisian workshops were actually quite pretty. I even wanted to stay behind and work there. :)

i found it very interesting that there is little difference between the right and left boot. The left boot is tagged allowing the wearer to break in right versus left for a comfy individual fit.

In "The Big Slipper Project" I was impressed at how those boys selected odds n ends from her sewing collection to decorate the slippers, such as buttons and Halloween costume bits & pieces.
