===========================================

I've been meaning to write about the following store for a while now but with the Summer vacation all my reviews/giveaways were moved to after school started again. So finally now I have the time to tell you about the following amazing wholesale store called Gallery Graphics, Inc.

Gallery Graphics, Inc. is located in Noel, Missouri. This store journeys in the past while looking ahead to the future.

Gallery Graphics, Inc. very generously let me pick an Item from their huge selection to review and as being from Europe I couldn't help myself but pick the Tuscan framed print. (I just love Italy and have never made it to Tuscany yet, so now I have a little of Italy in my house)
I couldn't believe the wrapping it came in, there was no way the frame or glass was going to break during travel!
I LOVE the colors, the Italian feel of this print! I love the dramatic frame and it's going to look great on my wall. Yes, you heard that right. It's still not hanging, hubby hasn't had the time, or this print is not high up on his priority list to hang up, but it will get done.

Now as mentioned before this company is a wholesale company so if you're not a store owner you can't directly order from them but if you see something you like, you only have to ring them, give them your zipcode and they will give you several stores that will have what you're looking for. They also have several retail stores on their website.

Let me show you some of the products they have, nothing more powerful than pictures.
They have the cutest selection of greeting cards:

If you're looking for wall decor: look at these magnet boards

Gallery Graphics, Inc. has an amazing selection to choose from and of course I can't help myself but share with you that Gallery Graphics, Inc. has very generously offered 1 of my readers a gift pack of all kinds of goodies, I took a picture to show you. There's lots of goodies in there: greeting cards, sticky notes, picture frame, cinnamon apple aromatherapy sachets (they smell gorgeous!), coloring book and more.

For a chance to win this gift pack, please head on over to Gallery Graphics, Inc. and browse around (it will take you a while as the selection is huge) and let me know what is your favorite.

The winner then has 48 hours to let confirm the email or I will need to pick another winner.
The giveaway is open to US and Canada.

If you want to keep updated on announcements, they also have a blog, check it out here.

Thanks Gallery Graphics Inc. for my wonderful piece of Italy!

Sensa update week 2

It's Wednesday so Ian and myself went on the scale and we've had good results again.
This week was an easier week for me than last week. I definitely feel a big decrease in appetite and cravings. Sensa tells you to sprinkle on your food and then stop eating when you feel hungry, so that's what I've been focussing on this week. Also I'm drinking lots and lots of water which has been a challenge in the past!
I feel a lot better with the weight coming off and have more energy.
I went down 1 size in my pants so I'm super excited!

Here's our measurements for this week:

9/23: -2.5
9/30: -3.8

total Sensa weight loss: 6.3
total weight loss: 18.3

9/23: -4.2
9/30: -1

total Sensa weight loss: 5.2
total weight loss: 10.8

I know I was skeptical when I started but this Sensa works and if you check out the forums, I'm not the only one who's losing weight. There's a lot of people using Sensa who are supporting each other on the forum and I'm glad I can ask my questions and read all of the other people's comments. A great group of Sensa friends!
Well, see you next week for another update.

And this is Laureen.
Laureen, I've sent you an email to confirm.
==============================================
It's almost October, it's getting colder (I actually switched our heating on today) and with colder weather people get sick. Well, we have the first one in the family today. Abby has a very bad cold, a cough and fever and man oh man, is she looking pale!
So with this I'm very excited to let you know about the following review and giveaway of a product that every family can definitely use in the upcoming months!

I had the chance to review the Exergen TemporalScanner!

This thermometer is the easiest I've ever used and my kids love it! Whenever I check Abby's temperature, Lisa and Jamie want to check theirs too and it really only takes 2 seconds.
You remove the protective cap, place the probe flat on the center of your forehead, press and hold the scan button and lightly slide the thermometer left or right from the center of your forehead to the hairline. You will hear beeping and a red light will flash during the scan which will let you know that it's measuring. Then when you reach the hairline you release the button and voila, you have your temperature.
The thermometer will shut off automatically after 30 seconds or you can turn it off immediately with pressing and releasing the Scan button quickly.
What I also really like about it is that it can stand up on its own. We have it ready to go on my nightstand, so I don't have to go looking for it.

Exergen has very generously offered to give away the same Exergen TemporalScanner 2000C to one of my readers!
For a chance to win this, follow Exergen on Facebook
(this is required before you can do any other entry, leave facebook username in comment)

Additional entries (separate comment for each):

* check out Exergen and let me know why you want to win this thermometer.
* follow my blog
* follow me on twitter (leave username)
* blog about this giveaway, linking back to my blog and Exergen (3 entries)
* tweet this giveaway (once per day, leave tweet link)
* add my button to your blog (leave URL)
* fave me on technorati (username)
* subscribe to my blog (2 entries, leave email used)

The deadline for this giveaway is 10/13/09 and the winner will be emailed, announced on this blog and on Prizey on the 14th. The giveaway is for US and Canada.
The winner will have 48 hours to confirm my email or a new winner will be chosen.

If you don't want to wait to find out if you're the winner or want to buy the TemporalScanner, I have a online rebate you can use. This rebate is for $5 off.
Thanks Exergen!

=========================================

Do your kids like to drink soda or juice? Well, mine do and I was happy to be contacted by Wat-aah to have my kids try the Wat-aah instead of the soda and juice.
I was hesitant to say the least as my kids knew this was water, but if you don't try, you don't know, right?
We were sent a bottle of each to try out.
So we took the bottles with us when we went camping. And I have to say, I've never seen my kids get so excited by water before!

First of all the bottles are very appealing, all we heard in the car and the first couple of jours at camping was "wat-aah, who wants to drink wat-aah". The name is a very clever marketing strategy and my kids LOVE to say it over and over and over....WAT-AAH.........
We only took the 4 bottles to camping so we kept refilling the bottles, there's something about the bottles that attracted the kids to use them. And I was all for it.

These bottles are for sale on Amazon.com for $12 a box (12 pack) so not bad at all.
I have to say though I haven't ordered them yet as the shipping is $12,90 on top of this and that's just too much. I would rather spend this money on something else for my kids. I want to buy this water in the store myself but Oregon's not even in the list yet, so it might be a while.
I'm so excited though as Jamie (and he's the soda drinker) wants to drink from these bottles. He wants them for his soccer practive and games.

You should go and check out the website they have, it has a very catchy tune and fun for the kids as it's animated.

Do you want to try out the water for yourself?
Wat-aah has very generously offered a gift pack (see left) for one of my readers.

For a chance to win this (the below 2 are required before you can enter with additional entries)
  • * follow wat-aah on twitter (let me know your username)
  • * follow wat-aah's blog
Additional entries:
* follow my blog

* blog about this giveaway, linking back to my blog and wat-aah (leave URL)
* subscribe to my blog (leave email address used)
* fave me on technorati (leave username)

The deadline for this giveaway is 10/9/09 midnight PST. The winner will be announced on my blog, emailed and announced on Prizey on the 10th. The giveaway is open to US only.
The winner has 48 hours to answer my email or another winner will be chosen.

Thanks Wat-aah!

Frigidaire & Jennifer Gardner team together for CHANGE!

Frigidaire just announced Jennifer Garner as their new celebrity ambassador!
Jennifer will introduce Frigidaire's new line of appliances, designed with features that help us Moms save time in our busy schedules, and challenge us to pledge a bit of our own time to help children in need.
Frigidaire's new "Make time for CHANGE" campaign supports Save the Children's US Programs, dedicated to making a difference in children's lives.

Frigidaire and Jennifer are asking Moms to think ahead to November 1st. - the day all of us change the clocks and get en extra hour - and pledge to use that time to help make a difference in the lives of children.
Save the children created the CHANGE program (creating healthy, active and nurturing growing-up environments) to promote healthier lifestyles for children living in poverty by providing nutritious snacks and regular opportunities for them to be physically active.

Starting today, everyone who goes to Frigidaire.com and raises her hand with a pledge to make time for a child, will commit Frigidaire to donate $1 to support the CHANGE.
As an added bonus, everyone who pledges her time will be entered for a chance to win a Frigidaire Professional double wall oven.

It's really easy to pledge, although initially I wrote my pledge wrong on my hand. You need to write it in mirror-image so when you take a picture, you can actually read the text!
I know, DUH!
My pledge is to read more books together with my kids. With 3 kids this isn't always that easy but I will certainly try more!

There's also a Frigidaire Professional double wall oven to win on the Mom Central*!
(* All taxes, including but not limited to federal, state and local taxes, and any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance are the sole responsibility of the winner, including any costs of installation.)
and tell them about your pledge and how you would give back your time to children in need. Mom Central will then pick a lucky winner in a random drawing from all entries received!

What would your pledge be?

"I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Frigidaire and received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate"

Sensa update week 1

I've been excited to write this post today.
As you can guess we've lost weight this week.

Ann:
week 1: 2.5
weight lost so far 14,5

Ian:
week 1: 4.2
weight lost so far: 9.8

We're doing really good. We just have to make sure we keep sprinkling the Sensa on everything we eat.
I want to talk to you about the support group on Sensa, these people are using Sensa for the same reason as us: to lose weight and to get more healthy. I can ask all the questions I have and they're there to support me (and Ian) through this. A great bunch of people I've met!

I will keep you updated on our progress every week. If you want to give this a try for free and want to follow along with us, you can get your free trial here. (or click on any of the Sensa buttons on top of my blog)

Have a great day,

Sweet Peaches Bedding: Contest & coupon

My oldest daughter is 11, in 6th grade and I can not believe how much she's grown (physically and mentally). She's no longer my little girl and lets me know this on a daily basis.
With getting older she's also moved on in taste, she used to love Little Kitty bedding, princess bedding, K3 bedding (girl band in Belgium) but those times have passed.
Lisa's favorite color is purple so any purple bedding is a winner.

We've been looking at some bedding for a while now and I was happy when I was contacted by SweetPeachesBedding.com to let you know about a contest they will have on from today (9/22/09) onwards.
SweetPeachesBedding is an eCommerce website that sells luxury bedding for babies, toddlers, children and teens.
As mentioned before on Sept. 22nd they will launch a contest, America's Next Sweet Peach.
This contest is targeted for us moms with daughters in their tween years, (oh, I'm so there) that are looking to update their daughters rooms. The contest will end on Oct.16th 2009.

All qualified entries will be entered to win 1 of 2 $500 gift certificates good for any merchandise on Sweet Peaches Bedding to use towards their bedroom makeover.

The link to the contest:

I had to add the picture of the bedroom Lisa likes, this is the bedding we would buy if we win.

Sweet Peaches Bedding has also generously offered a discount of $10 on any purchase and this will expire on 10/22/09. Please use the code SPB10.

And this is Jennifer. Jennifer I sent you an email, please get back to within 48 hours.
Thank you all for reading my blog, I really appreciate it!

===========================================

I was pleased when I was contacted by MathTutorDVD.com to review their Young Minds - Numbers and Counting DVD.
Abby's been trying to count and can count to about 7, sometimes further so I was curious how she would react to this DVD.

What is this DVD all about?
MathTutorDVD.com has created this DVD to introduce small children to the joys of learning math at a young age. This DVD teaches young children to count from 1 to 10 by way of classical music, photographs and video.
Numbers are animated to fly-in from off screen and show your child how to count by counting objects that they are naturally interested in.
Animals such as frogs, horses, jellyfish, sharks, whales and more are shown to the viewer along with the animal sounds. Colors are also taught by pointing out the color of objects on the screen.

Sample of objects presented:
* animals with animal sounds
* fruits and vegetables along with their colors
* machines that move such as trucks, airplanes along with their sounds

The central idea of this video is to teach children numbers and counting while at the same time teaching them the names of animals, machines and other objects along with their associated sounds and colors. This integrated learning approach keeps children interested and promotes continued learning.
The DVD is set to classical music pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin,...

All I can say is WOW to the screens and colors they used! The quality is amazing and it's not a boring DVD, the screens keep changing, several animals are used so for Abby it wasn't just about the counting but also the animals.
Here are some pictures I took while the DVD was on, she really loved the hummingbird and Nemo!

Their's some gorgeous pictures (this one just wants me to start eating the apples!):

And counting by numbers of course...

This DVD is a lot of fun for younger children. Lisa and Jamie are way past it but loved making the animal noises with Abby.

As you can see on MathTutorDVD.com, there's a lot more DVD's out there like Algebra, Geometry, Physics,... and more.
This DVD is available on Amazon for $17,99.

MathTutorDVD.com is very generously offering this same Young Minds - Numbers and Counting to one of my readers.
For a chance to win this, head on over to MathTutorDVD.com and let me know what other DVD looks interesting to you.
