Wordless Wednesday (well, not really wordless that is)

My poor little babe. As mentioned in my earlier post, Abby fell on our deck hitting her nose and top lip. We went to the dentist yesterday and luckily all her teeth are fine.
I will check with the doctor today if we need to get her nose checked. Although I'm not sure if they can do anything when it's broken.
At least she's back to her normal happy self!

Missing in action

Hi all,

Just in case you're wondering. I'm still here but have been extremely busy with the kids and haven't been able to spend proper time to write reviews and/or do giveaways.
On top of all this Abby fell yesterday and banged her nose and top lip on the edge of our deck. So far her teeth are ok (I can't feel any loose ones) and she doesn't have a concussion but she does have a big bruise on her nose (we have to wait till the swelling goes down to see if it's broken) and she has lots of bruising on the inside of her top lip.

I'm sure I'll have more time next week to write, so keep checking back, I know some of you can't wait for more reviews/giveaways and there's some cool ones coming up.

We're back!

Well,
We're all back from a very relaxing vacation in San Diego, I'm washing and sorting out things in the house to be ready for this weekends swim meet.
It doesn't look like I have lots of time to blog as I have to try and go through 1500 emails too.

I can not wait to tell you about our San Diego experience and to share pictures. I took 360 but will not share them all, can't do that to you all ;)

If you're looking for a cute and fun nightlight/alarm-clock for your child, look no further. Let me introduce you to the Kid'Sleep Classic. The Kid'Sleep can be used in several different ways: as a nightlight, a wake-up indicator for young children and an alarm clock for older children. If your child has a habit of getting up early in the morning, then the Kid'Sleep might be a solution for you as the wake-up indicator will help young children have an understanding when it is time to get out of bed and when not. The result... both parents and children will get more sleep.

Functions
The Kid'Sleep can be set for any time that you would like. There is also an alarm-clock function. This alarm (which has birds chirping followed by a rooster) can be set to go off as the awake animal (in our case the bunny) is lit up. The Kid'Sleep can be used with or without the alarm function.

The unit consists of 2 parts: the clock part where the bunny will tell you when it's time to wake up and the set-up part where you set your clock.

  1. Position one of the two bunny faceplates onto the clock face and twist an inch clockwise to secure it. The unused faceplate can be hooked on the back.
  2. The bunny is lit by 2 tiny 0.6 watt (0.05A , 12V) light bulbs. Replacement bulbs are provided and can then still be ordered if you need more.
  3. After plugging in the Kid'Sleep, set the time and the alarm. One button scrolls you through the hour and minutes and the other 2 buttons increase or decrease the numbers.
  4. Flip the switch to one of four settings indicated by icons:

  • * Power symbol: ON/OFF
  • * Star: Nightlight setting (both lights on)
  • * Star with Moon: Wake-up setting (one light on, alternating between wake and sleep images)
  • * Alarm clock: Same as the wake-up setting, but with a mild bird call alarm.

For Jamie we have the Kid'Sleep set as the alarm clock (well, during the school year that was). Jamie loves the bird chirping followed by the rooster. The sound is not overwhelmingly loud but is loud enough to wake Jamie up. The rooster sound reminds him of my dad. When we go on vacation at my dad's, he wakes everybody up using the rooster sound. He's been doing this since we were small and it's great!I know when Jamie's outgrown the Kid'Sleep we will be using it for Abby, it really is a great tool!

Plasmacar: fantastic toy for young and old

If you're looking for a toy that's suitable for young and old, look no further! The Plasmacar is the toy you've been looking for.
This toy is a guarantee for hours of fun. It has a weight limit of 220 lbs on a smooth, flat surface and 120 lbs on a rough, flat surface.
The Plasmacar comes in 6 bright colors to choose from: red, blue, yellow, pink, green and the one that we were send, the purple.

The car works by turning the wheel, this will then in turn move the Plasmacar forward. No batteries or liquid fuel are required to operate this Plasmacar, just your own muscles!
The car has been extensively tested and meets or exceeds all international safety standards including the following:
  • American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F936:96a
  • European Toy Safety Standard
    • EN71 Part 1: 1998 - Mechanical and physical properties
    • EN71 Part 2: 1993 - Flammability
    • EN71 Part 3: 1994 / A1:200 - Specification for migration of certain Elements

We were send the purple Plasmacar (purple is Lisa's favorite color). Lisa and Jamie fly around on this thing and love it! For Abby, it's still a little too big as she hasn't figured out how to turn the wheel to move the car forward. She just uses her legs which is perfectly fine too!
Now the 2 sisters together on the Plasmacar, that's a huge hit!

No wonder the Plasmacar has won so many awards
over the last couple of years!
Thanks Plasmacar for lots of hours of endless fun!

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!

San Diego here we come

2 more days to go, 2 more days to go.... We are leaving for San Diego on Saturday so you'll not be hearing a lot of me next week. The kids are super excited!
We'll be going to Seaworld (having lunch with Shamu), Legoland, the Zoo and a lot more! We're staying at the Hyatt on Mission Bay, it looks fantastic! This is our first time to San Diego and we've heard so much about it!
We're having a friend stay at our house while we're away so Simba is super excited too! He doesn't have to go into boarding at the vet's office. Nothing beats home, right?

I'm trying to write some reviews and giveaways while I'm washing and packing clothes, they are scheduled to post during next week, so check back.
Well, have a great 4th of July and talk to you soon!
